Red Flags in Performance Training Spaces

How to spot hard-sell snake oil, medical advice cosplay, coercion, and size-shame culture — and how to exit.

Consent, respect, and the right to stop are non-negotiable. Standards

Red flag: guaranteed size or performance outcomes in days, usually tied to a product cart. Real training has variance, deloads, and plateaus.

Red flag: peers diagnosing ED or injury from a photo and prescribing protocols. That belongs with a clinician.

Red flag: pressure to ignore pain, skip recovery, or prove toughness in public. Safety systems enable intensity; ego contests end careers.

Red flag: outing handles, non-consensual media, or coercion in DMs. Report immediately; retaliation against reporters is a ban-level offense here.

Green flag: education first, moderated rooms, age gates, clear 'not medical advice' framing, and paid tiers only for advanced work after trust.

Put this into a training block — free education first, paid advanced later.
